Terms and Conditions

Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter is F-Secure Pty Ltd (ABN: 40131041275) of Level 3, 100 Walker Street, North Sydney, NSW 2060.
The benefiting party is: SingTel Optus Pty Ltd (ABN: 90 052 833 208) of 1 Lyonpark Rd, Macquarie Park, NSW 2113.
Entry is open to Australian residents who are Optus Broadband (Optus DSL Direct, Optus Cable and Optus Mobile Broadband) customers. However, employees and their immediate families of F-Secure Pty Ltd, SingTel Optus Pty Ltd, and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter. Entrants under the age of 18 must obtain the prior permission of a parent or guardian over the age of 18 to enter.
The competition commences on 21 June 2010 at 00:01 (AEST) and concludes on 29 August 2010 at 23:59 at (AEST) (“Promotional Period”). There are ten (10) weeks within the Promotional Period and each week represents one (1) entry period (“Entry Period”).
To receive an automatic entry, eligible Optus Broadband customers must subscribe to Optus Internet Security Suite from the My Zoo/Member Services website during the specified Promotional Period. The time of entry will in each case be the time that Optus Internet Security Suite is subscribed to from My Zoo/Member Services.
Only one (1) entry per person permitted.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Entries close for each draw at 23:00 (AEST) on the dates specified in the table below. The draws will take place at Anisimoff Legal of Suite 1, Level 1, 34 Chandos Street, St Leonards, NSW 2065 at 13:00 (AEST) on the dates specified in the table below. The winners will be notified within two (2) days of the draw. The winners will be notified of their prize in writing. All winners of prizes will have their name published in the Public Notices section of The Australian newspaper on the dates specified in the table below.
There are ten (10) weekly prizes to be won (one (1) prize per week). The first valid entry drawn in each Entry Period will win their choice of one (1) of the following prizes:
(a) Acer AO532-451G251 Aspire One 10” Netbook valued at $498 each;
(b) Sony DSCTX1S Cybershot Digital Camera valued at $416 each; or
(c) Apple iPod Touch 32GB 3rd Generation valued at $393 each.
Prizes will be awarded to the Optus Broadband account holder used to subscribe to the Optus Internet Security Suite.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into, including in the event of a dispute. The prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied.
The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity (including phone bill) in order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirement.
Prizes (including any unused portion) cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. If any prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
A draw for any unclaimed prizes may take place on 1 December 2010 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Winners’ names, if any, will be published in The Australian on 8 December 2010.
Total prize pool is valued at up to $4,980. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
Once prizes have left the Promoter’s premises, the Promoter takes no responsibility for prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit.
Entrants consent to the Promoter and SingTel Optus Pty Ltd using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter or SingTel Optus Pty Ltd. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter and SingTel Optus Pty Ltd (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s or SingTel Optus Pty Ltd’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter or SingTel Optus Pty Ltd) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter or and SingTel Optus Pty Ltd; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
